SuperNova Theatre Festival (Dartmouth NS) and Magnetic North Theatre Festival (Vancouver BC)

May and June were spent touring April 14, 1912 to the Atlantic and Pacific. We opened Eastern Front Theatre's SuperNova Theatre Festival at the Alderney Landing Theatre May 1st, 2008 and from June 9th to 13th played at the Scotiabank Dance Centre in Vancouver as part of the Magnetic North Theatre Festival. The show was hailed as a "chilling sensory experience" (The Chronicle Herald) and "a hypnotic waltz of the real and unreal...fact-based and fantastical" (The Vancouver Sun).

For those of you who didn't get a chance to see it, we are working on some touring, so watch for the ship to come sailing near you in the very near future. Check back soon for more updates !!

In Residence at Theatre Passe Muraille

We will be one of many companies in residence at Theatre Passe Muraille for the 2008/09 season. We are very happy to be collaborating with TPM and developing a new work. More info on workshop showings will be coming soon.

And Now????

It's summer and we will be taking a small break to try to enjoy the season! On the horizon however is the development of a new work inspired the "The Scottish Play" and tentatively called Birnam Wood. We will be developing this work this fall in a series of development projects. It will not hit the stage for production until 2009, but get ready to enter the realm of nightmare and hope, trees and the occult...and a term we are throwing around these days called "Scottishy Discos" (we're going to figure out what that means in the workshop process). It's a big project and will be uniting director Allyson McMackon once again with designers Lindsay Anne Black and Michelle Ramsay as well as a strong ensemble of core artists and those new to the company.

Please check back frequently for more information.
